Reflection

  1. The biggest challenge I faced while creating the store was adding products. I couldn't figure out why they weren't showing up in my store until I noticed I had to move them out of draft mode. Otherwise dead simple :) 
  2. Its amazing how elegant the store can look with very little effort. The templates are designed to work well for many different products. I think Shopify has struck a nice balance between features and simplicity. Whenever I attempted a task I could easily find the correct page within a few seconds. 
  3. While playing with the logo maker I was unable to have enough control over the look of various elements. I would have liked to control the colors individually, however, it did not seem like I could fully customize the individual elements. I initially was confused by the preview panel when editing the theme layout. I thought I would be able to directly edit the text but then realized all the editing was done on the left hand panel under various input fields. I understand why this design choice was used, I just had an initial reaction to try and edit the page itself. 
  4. Yes I feel like I can now relate to someone experiencing a Shopify store for the first time. I am really excited to be a part of continuing to refine and improve this incredible product!
